Paprika is divided into seven main sections, each of which is accessible by clicking the corresponding section in the Main Menu on the left side of the window.
Shortcut You can also press Ctrl-1 through Ctrl-7 to go to each section of the app, in the order listed below. For instance, Ctrl-5 will navigate you to the meals section. The sections are also available in the View menu in the menu bar.

| Recipes | This is the main screen of the application, and contains your recipe collection. From here you can open individual recipes, search for recipes, and view recipes by category. |
| Browser | The built-in web browser allows you to browse for recipes online, and clip your favorite recipes into Paprika. |
| Groceries | This shows your current grocery lists. From here you can check off grocery items as you shop, edit your grocery lists, and add custom grocery list items. |
| Pantry | The pantry section keeps track of common ingredients you may have at home. In this section you can add custom pantry items, change expiration dates and purchased dates, and more. |
| Meals | This is Paprika's meal planner. You can use it to create weekly and monthly meal plans, and view your daily meal schedule. |
| Menus | The menus section allows you to create reusable menus from your favorite recipes. |
| Sharing | The sharing section is where you manage your family sharing and your in-app messages — sending recipes to other Paprika users, and importing the recipes they send you. |
Below the Main Menu, the left sidebar also displays your pinned recipes and your active timers, along with an button. If you have not unlocked the full app yet, an button is also shown — see Paprika 4 Premium. At the bottom of the sidebar, an account box shows Set Up Sync when you are logged out, or your account email and sync status — with a sync button — once you are logged in.
The menu bar at the top of the window contains the File, Edit, Sync, View, and Help menus. Throughout this guide, menu paths are written like File -> Settings. The File menu also holds the Find Duplicates tool. The Help menu contains this user guide (F1), our online Help Center, the software updater, and the About dialog.
Note
Paprika 4 features a completely redesigned interface, and supports both light and dark appearances. Paprika follows your Windows system appearance.
Note
Paprika remembers the size and position of its window, along with the layout of each section, between launches. Only one copy of Paprika runs at a time — launching it again will simply bring the existing window to the front.
