Type it in - Press the button and fill in the recipe yourself. See Adding a Recipe.
Paste it from the clipboardPremium - Copy recipe text from an email, a document or a message, and Paprika sorts it into a new recipe. See Adding a Recipe from the Clipboard.
Scan itPremium - Choose a photo or scan of a cookbook page or recipe card, and Paprika reads the recipe from it. See Scanning Recipes.
Download it from a website - Find a recipe in Paprika's built-in browser and press Download. See Clipping Recipes Online.
Copy it from a website yourself - For a site Paprika can't read on its own, use the browser's clipboard tools to copy each part of the recipe into place. See Manually Saving Recipes Using the Clipboard Tools.
Save it from social mediaPremium - Open a TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or YouTube post in Paprika's browser and press Download. See Clipping Recipes from Social Media.
Receive it from another Paprika user - Recipes and cookbooks other Paprika users send you arrive in your Messages inbox. See Receiving & Importing Recipes.
Import it from another app - Paprika can import recipes exported from other recipe apps. See Import Recipes.
Adding a Recipe
Click in the upper right corner of the recipes screen.
Choose how to start:
New Recipe - Opens an empty recipe form.
Scan Recipe - Creates a recipe from photos of a cookbook page or recipe card. See Scanning Recipes.
Clipboard - Turns recipe text you've copied into a new recipe. Only appears while there's text on the clipboard. See Adding a Recipe from the Clipboard.
Click Save in the lower right corner, or Cancel beside it to discard.
The description, notes and nutrition boxes start out hidden; click a box's triangle to show it. To add photos, click the photo at the top of the editor. See Adding Recipe Photos.
The menu bar has the same options under File -> New Recipe and File -> New Recipe From Photo(s).
Shortcut Press Ctrl-S to save, or Esc to cancel.
Adding a Recipe from the Clipboard Premium
Copy recipe text from an email, a document or a website, then:
Click in the upper right corner of the recipes screen and choose Clipboard.
Check the preview and click Import. Paprika sorts the text into the recipe fields.
